Abbott House

The William Riley Abbott house built in the 1840's is an unusually large Greek revival plantation house near South Mills.

The focal point of this house is its entrance with its Doric type columns, wide veranda, and balcony over the front door.

This house is said to have been used as a hospital for soldiers wounded in the Battle of South Mills
