Milford

Milford is the oldest known two-story brick house in North Carolina. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The construction date of 1746 was found inscribed on a chimney brick.

The brickwork is of Flemish bond with glazed headers. Some of its features, such as the plastered cove cornice, are unique in colonial architecture south of Maryland.
