William R. Spruill House
112 S. Broad Street - ca. 1895

Known to his contemporaries as "Pot-Licker Bill", William R. Spruill was a merchant and horse trader in Columbia and the towns mayor at the turn of the twentieth century. He built this house and embellished it with a stylish Victorian porch with chambered posts, sawn balustrades and unique arched frieze boards.
