This is a private condominium, with numerous other residential units. There are no shared amenities for the building, only shared common areas that include the lobby and the stairwells. Our delightful historic building was also constructed in the 1920’s and has many original features—with that, it lacks some of the insulation that we are used to today. This means that you may hear neighbors above or beside you occasionally. You might also hear cars drive by outside. To reduce any noises for lighter sleepers, we have an industrial fan and also provide ear plugs/eye masks during your stay.

Tips and Tricks to get the very best Albemarle area vacation property experience:
Getting the best rental home value:
- The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- To find the best value, try shifting your family's Albemarle area trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Albemarle area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides have discounts for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Planning, picking, and booking your prefectrental home:
- Select your vacation week and budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Historic Condo in the Heart of Downtown Elizabeth City has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property owner before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
- Some properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.
- If there's an individual Albemarle area destination you love, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
Know before you go:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of difficulties.
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect your property!
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. text the host right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic source for finding the best local spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all belongings. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a great stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
